Next Generation Shiprepair has space in the port of Lauwersoog, right on the quay. These facilities make it possible to moor ships for work, inspections, or preparation before they are moved to the shipyard.
The location on open waterways, without locks, provides easy access and allows vessels to be scheduled flexibly for arrival and departure.
The Next Generation Shiprepair yard offers ample space for a wide range of ship repair work. The spacious site makes it possible to work around the vessel and position equipment, parts and materials close to the work area. This keeps workflows efficient and allows different disciplines to work effectively side by side.
The layout of the site also provides the flexibility to carry out both smaller jobs and larger repair, maintenance and refit projects. The available space allows work to be prepared efficiently while ensuring sufficient room for logistics and heavy equipment throughout larger projects.
Next Generation Shiprepair’s buildings and workshops provide space for a wide range of technical work and preparation. Parts and structures can be machined, repaired and prepared under controlled conditions before being installed on board. The workshops support various disciplines and are directly connected to the work carried out at the shipyard.
By carrying out as much work as possible in the workshops beforehand, work on board can be carried out more efficiently. Materials, tools and technical equipment are readily available, allowing different activities to be coordinated effectively and helping to minimise unnecessary waiting time.
With its heavy transport trailer, Next Generation Shiprepair can move complete vessels, large structures and heavy components around the shipyard. This means that work is not restricted to a single location and allows the available space at the shipyard to be used flexibly.
After lifting, a vessel can be moved to the location where the work can be carried out most efficiently. This frees up space at the ship lift for the next vessel and allows multiple projects to take place alongside each other. In this way, heavy transport directly contributes to the shipyard’s capacity and efficient flow of work.
