About Next Generation Shiprepair

Next Generation Shiprepair grew out of Next Generation Shipyards. Drawing on our knowledge and experience in shipbuilding and maritime projects, we recognised the need for a shipyard where maintenance, repairs and refits could be carried out with the same professional and structured approach.

This partnership made it possible to build directly on existing expertise, processes and a shared way of working. The shipyard in Lauwersoog was subsequently established to support shipowners and operators in keeping their vessels operational, with close links between design, preparation and execution.

Next Generation Shiprepair is therefore a logical and complementary part of Next Generation Shipyards, which focuses on the entire life cycle of vessels.

At Next Generation Shiprepair, a structured and manageable approach to project delivery is key. Work is prepared, carried out and handed over at a single shipyard by dedicated teams. Engineering, safety planning and execution are closely integrated, ensuring that plans align with practical realities and that work can be carried out efficiently.

By bringing all disciplines together under one roof, communication lines remain short and responsibilities clear. Clients have a single point of contact throughout the entire process and are kept fully informed of progress, the schedule and decisions made during the course of the work.

The site also provides opportunities for collaboration with third parties. Clients’ own specialists or suppliers can work on site in a safe and organised manner, with planning and safety coordinated to ensure that work runs smoothly.

This way of working provides clarity, flexibility and confidence, regardless of the size or complexity of the project.
